About GEICS

The GEICS group at McMaster aims to foster gender diversity in our Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department as well as act as support base for young graduate and undergraduate students in Chemical Sciences. Some of our main goals include:

• to allow both graduate and undergraduate students the chance to meet with visiting professors speakers to have discussions focusing on career paths, mentor ship and gender issues.
   

• to invite speakers from various disciplines to discuss their career path and experiences outside of academia.
   

• to cross gaps within our own department to foster growth and relationships between graduate and undergraduate students.
